In this video, you will learn the safe way to give a cat a bath. (Not that cats usually need baths--they are actually pretty good at grooming themselves).

I think bathing your cat this way is very cruel. You totally traumatized that poor cat.
Secondly, you never bathe your cat with Dawn dish soap! They do have kittly soap you can buy at wal-mart or pet store. Dawn soap will dry the cat's skin by removing the oils thats on their skin. You had put so much soup on the fur that the cat may later lick off. I hope that cat did not get dawn bubbles on its eyes. You can also use baby wipes or kitty wipes to bathe cats. We have four cats and we got them since they were kittens. Their vet told us its not good to bathe cats. Its not good for their skins. She recommends us just to use baby wipes and comb the cats' fur.
This is the sickest thing I think I've ever seen from someone claiming to be doing a good deed. First of all, after she takes the bag off, the cat doesn't even go crazy so obviously it's not a bad cat. Secondly, I agree with daizy, you can't use dawn dish soap to clean the cat! Thirdly, if the cat does start acting up and trying to get away because cats naturally fear water, you grab it firmly by the back of its neck like its mother would and itll basically paralyze them without actually hurting them. Sheesh Lady! I'm 19 and I know better. Someone should put you in a bag and nearly drown you!
i am shocked to see such a thing, u should be ashaimed of yourself. i thought u was supposed to be helping the cat not doing that to it.
That was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen! Talk about animal cruelty. I certainly hope that you don't call yourself a groomer. If you do, I hope that your clients see the way you treat their pets. Everything you did was wrong and would only terrify the poor cat. For one thing, if you feel it necessary to have the cat confined in a bag, it's head should not be in there, only the body. You did not try in any way to calm the cat by holding it properly or with words. You used WAY TOO MUCH shampoo (enough for 20 cats!) and spent hardly any time actually bathing it. Your rinse job was a joke. You spent about 2 or 3 minutes on this cat - when I bath my cat it usually takes 45 minutes to do a good job. It didn't seem to occur to you to even check the water temperature on your wrist. You obviously aren't aware that cats aren't supposed to get water in their ears. It wouldn't have been too pleasant for it to get all that shampoo in it's eyes or nose either. The list goes on and on. I am so upset and angry to have seen this video. If I bathed my cat before a show this way, I would NEVER be able to get her near a sink/tub again. Besides your bathing techniques would leave her coat a mess. I hope no one that has never bathed an animal before takes your advice. I also hope that someone zips you up completely in a bag and subjects you to the same treatment!!
